That is super fun and what a great gift. Unfortunately, they are made of aluminum with a secret liner...it is not very transparent what the secret liner is and basically its some type of plastic. And there is a danger of the aluminum leachingover time. I would go with the Klean Kanteen ones which are stainless steel.
